Big News on Book Two!
Hello, readers!
After much deliberation on how to address you, my wonderful, spicy group of erotica readers, I have decided to refer to my devoted fans as my Smut Fam! As with all my writing choices, this one was made with strict intention and a bold nod to my first book, FOUND. After all, we are all one big family, aren't we? xxx
Onto the big news! This week, I had intended to publish a post about my experiences while writing a series. But I also feel compelled to share with you the ups and downs on my writing journey in real time, which is why I have to share this news with you today.
I've been really pushing myself to work on finishing up Book Two. I wrote a lot of it while I was still in the editing/final stages of publishing FOUND, but I've been struggling with a number of things that have prolonged the process of finishing it. I will discuss these challenges in my aforementioned post on writing a book series, which I will publish later this month.
As I've shared with you in prior posts, inspiration, for me, hits when it hits. And I've been very fortunate in the last few weeks! A huge dose of inspiration found me, enabling me to visualize - and write - the ending of Book Two! Smut Fam: the first draft of Book Two is officially done! What an incredible moment! Book Two is one step closer to making it onto bookshelves everywhere!
I am SO excited to dive into reading my manuscript from beginning to end! There is a lot I keep in mind when it comes to tackling a first draft. Editing, of course, is the biggest thing. During this process, I also make notes I can refer to when I go to write my book blurb. There's also the book cover to create. I like my book covers to be minimalist, with a hint of mystery to them. I'm looking forward to sharing the details on all of these elements with you in a future post.
Of course, we can't forget the title. If I'm being honest, I decided on the title of this book, as well as the third in my series, quite some time ago. Are you ready for the title reveal? Ah! Being the tease that I am, well, Smut Fam, you'll just have to wait. I'll be revealing the title of Book Two this Thursday on my Instagram. Be sure to follow me to be the first to know!
