I can't believe we are already a month into 2025. Anyone else? What a ride it's been. From battling colds to recovering from the holidays, January was... a hot wreck.
But now, February is here. A month of love, celebrating relationships, and recognizing the bonds that bring us together. And so in that vein, I thought I'd share an update with you, my cherished readers.
Where I've Been: Lost in books. I've been on a massive book binge. I've devoured eight books already this year. Like Iris in my novel, FOUND, I turn to the pages of a paperback for comfort and warmth. I love to get whisked away, traveling alongside quirky characters in suspenseful, thrilling stories.
What I'm Doing: Writing Book Two of The FOUND Series. I'm probably 80% finished the first draft! I'm currently doing a read-through on what I have so far, adding in some pivotal details, and crafting those salacious scenes that bring the heat. There are some big things happening in Book Two! I can't wait to share where the story goes next.
Looking Ahead: It's all about Book Two! My biggest goal is to get the first draft of my second book done in the next few months. Then I can focus on editing and polishing the story. I also plan on doing a title reveal in the coming months, so stay tuned for that exciting announcement!
Setbacks:
Writing a book is very time-intensive. I absolutely love it; I've never been more passionate about anything in my life. But time is a limited resource, and I've been struggling to find enough of it to dedicate to my craft. Still I forge ahead - because I believe that in life, we should lead with love. And I love love love to write.
In the coming months, my main goal is to be more organized and structured when it comes to my schedule. Life is busy, full, and bustling with commitments. And one of the most important commitments I can make is the one to myself. So, here it is, my commitment moving forward: I will do what sets my soul on fire. Time to get writing!
I know in past posts I have mentioned releasing FOUND in audiobook format. This is something I absolutely want to do. But, unfortunately, at this time, I do not have the resources to publish FOUND as an audiobook. Sadness. However, having all my books available in audiobook is one of my long-term goals. I'm keeping this on my radar, and I hope to have a more positive update on this in the future.
